What You Need to Know About Spring Fling 2013
What is the Spring Fling?
Held annually, the Spring Fling is the Friends of Coonley’s largest fundraiser. This year on Saturday, April 20, the Coonley community will gather at the DANK Haus for the 8th annual Spring Fling. The evening’s fundraising opportunities include a live and silent auction, fund a need, raffles, “grub grab” gift cards for local restaurants and a mystery wine game. The ticket price also includes a buffet, beer, wine and DJ/dancing.
Why attend?
All proceeds from Spring Fling directly benefit the students of Coonley. Last year, thanks to the generosity of parents and community members, we raised $155,000 which helped provide Spanish, technology and the arts at Coonley. It’s fabulous to see the Coonley community come together and unite to support our school – plus it’s a fun event to meet and mingle with other Coonley enthusiasts!
What should you wear?
There is no formal dress code for the event. Some guests like to wear festive or cocktail attire, others prefer more casual – in other words, wear whatever you usually would for a night out.
What happens the night of the event?
Upon arrival at the DANK Haus, check in and receive a bid number. Starting at 6:30 p.m., enjoy delicious food, beer and wine while browsing and bidding on the silent auction items (including a wide variety of donated items, classroom projects, teacher outings and parties). Then be sure to stay for the live auction beginning at 9 p.m., followed by the silent auction closing at 10:15 p.m., DJ and dancing until 11:30 p.m.
